Wacom!

I bought a Wacom Bamboo One pen tablet yesterday. It looks awesome with fluorescent green color and smooth matte finish at back. However, it will take me time to come up with some good work using it. I need a lot of practice as it is very difficult to get hold of it.
Here are some quick initial attempts:

Haha.. The actual person I was trying to draw is very skinny. The sketch looks more of a future avatar of the him. (only if he ever starts to workout :P )

Structure came out quite well but the face didn't match very much. It is difficult to do while sitting in front row of English class.

Eyes

These are the eyes that I sketched a few weeks ago. I saw Diego Fazio's photorealistic work at that time and couldn't resist myself from drawing these.

It has been a week since I started this blog and I've not shared it or told about it to anyone yet. I was waiting for some content to fill up.. atleast 10-12 sketches. I think, I should share it now.

It's weird.. the knee looked perfect on paper, but after scanning it looks overgrown...

Initial Life Drawing attempts...

These are a some life drawings I did a few weeks back. It was the first time I tried it so don't expect anything lifelike.

FIRST ONE! Took like forever to make it.. (about 25-30 min)

My skills have improved a lot (hopefully) since then. I will post new life drawings very soon.

It's my Birthday!

Today is my birthday and everyone is asking for treat.. maybe I will do a small party at domino's on Wednesday (BOGO offer!)... or maybe I will not. I need to start preparing my Sheridan Portfolio. It is really very tough to get into their Animation program.

Here are first few sketches which I did about a month ago. Googled them, tried to copy and improvise.. it was more of a practice as I was coming back to pencil after a looonng time.

However, I won't be doing this form of sketching very often. It is easy but time consuming. My art is more of quick gestures, life drawing, character design and poses.. these are actually the portfolio requirements of Animation program...

Welcome to my blog. I have started sketching quite a lot *ahem* these days..  So, I decided to make this blog and keep it updated with the sketching and animation stuff I do.. I will also digitize all my work *finally* and keep it safe (scanning and editing is very boring job)..
I will start posting my sketches tomorrow onward (I don't feel like setting up the scanning right now).
